welcome...

First and foremost, thanks for payin’ my page a visit! My name’s Lauren Rinck, everyone calls me Lou, and I’ll even answer to “Belle” as my dad calls me, after my fave movie when I was little.

Growing up I was a tomboy, always playin’ in the dirt, jumping fences, and coming home with bruises and cuts. Barbies and Dolls, no way! I played sports growing up, was Captain of my Field Hockey Team in High School, and began to get ‘addicted’ to exercising in College when I no longer played competitive sports. I developed a passion for running and my knees got beat up from the pounding everyday.  I wanted to do a marathon, though...and my knees just couldn’t handle it.

A friend suggested the sport of Triathlon, considering there was so much less cumulative impact involved due to all the cross-training with swimming and biking.  I did my first Triathlon with a borrowed Mountain Bike, Tennis shoes, and a baggy T-Shirt and long shorts over my one piece swimming suit! But after I crossed that finish line, I was addicted to Tri’s and have been Tri’in all Season every since!

It’s truly my passion...I love the community, the friends I’ve made through Team in Training and competing, the REASON to work out...JUST TRI IT has become my motto!  The sport has taught me so much...Self-discipline and denial, time management, dedication, commitment, a whole ‘notha level of fitness, and that so much good can come from finding your passion!  I want to share my training log, goals, and aspirations.  Thank you for checkin’ out my site!

quote of the day

“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Cor 9:24-25
